OK folks as part of my giving back to the community that loves me so much I give you easy as 1, 2, 3 mail chimp set up. No I did not figure this out myself but I found the information. Which is stuff you will see when you sub to my newsletter.
Step 1. Sign up for mail chimp. Make a list and name it wordpress people, anything. Make a news letter template and save it. Do not worry mailchimp has a very to use system and you can be done in about 10 minutes with your first setup.
Step 2. Before you come back over to wordpress to fiddle with it you want to make a general signup form. It will be in your dashboard of mailchimp in lists create signup forms. below is a picture of what it looks like. When you make a general form it will give you the internet address to your signup form. copy that link.
Step 3. Come over to wordpress. Go to your WPadmin menu appearance widgets. Choose a text widget and you will make a hard link to your form. A hard link looks like this <a href= ” your link goes in here”> Your link or form name goes here. </a>
Save and place the widget in an easy to find location on your blog and tada you are done.
