Last week’s Texas Library Association (TLA) conference brought more than librarians to Austin. The conference also brought over 200 hundred authors from around the country to our city, and BookPeople worked with schools, publishers, and publicists to connect them with local students.
The week was incredible and the pace non-stop. Students entertained authors just as much as authors entertained them. Stories were brought to life not only by the energetic voices of the authors, but also by the clever librarians and teachers who went over and beyond in preparing their students and campuses for the events. Here are a few highlights from the week —
