This was given to me as a read and review. It is what I think is called an ARC copy. I do not like to read poetry, well not modern poetry as I love the classics and the huge overly long sonnets and romantic story poetry. Chaucer I am looking at you.
Though when this was offered to me I agreed, for two reasons. First I was asked without the expectation that I should do it. And secondly and more importantly it is in support of the American Suicide Prevention foundation.
So my thoughts as I read Ambrosia were very biased as being an English major in University I wrote some poetry on my own and read the classics and read the poems produced by my friends. I rolled my eyes as I thought about reading these sets. Still, as I continued to read the work I must say that I was impressed by a few and I was knocked to my seat by two. I leave it at that and suggest you get yourself a copy if you want to read some poetry and even more if you want to help support a great cause in the American Suicide Prevention foundation.
